With the increasingly deepening impact of power grid on daily production and life,the domestic demand for safe operation technology of power grid is also increasing.Wide-area measurement system is the most widely used dynamic monitoring system of power grid at present.Through data acquisition of synchronous phasor measurement devices located at key points of the whole network,real-time monitoring of power grid operation dynamics is realized.As one of the key measuring points of the power grid,the 500 kV Rongjiang Station of China Southern Power Grid was constructed in 2011 and connected to the WAMS main station of China Southern Power Grid through the dispatching data network in 2012.As a new technology application in Jieyang area power grid,PMU poses a new challenge to the management and operation of the region.Through its application research,it is beneficial to strengthen the understanding of the basic principles and application functions of PMU,thus improving the operation and maintenance means and management level of power grid personnel,and promoting the safe and stable operation of the regional power grid.This paper briefly describes the research background and development of synchronous phasor measurement technology at home and abroad,analyses and summarizes the basic concepts and related algorithms of synchronous phasor measurement and power angle measurement,summarizes the basic functions of synchronous phasor measurement device and its application in the safe and stable operation of power grid,and compares the similarities and differences between PMU and SCADA monitoring systems.Combined with the construction and operation of the PMU sub-station of 500 kV Rongjiang Station in China Southern Power Grid,the application of synchronous phasor measurement technology in key nodes of the power grid is emphatically analyzed.The composition of PMU sub-station of Rongjiang Station includes GPS synchronous clock system,data acquisition units distributed in relay rooms,data centralized processors,auxiliary analysis workstations for local monitoring and optical fiber networkcommunication modules,etc.The network connection modes of each hardware module and the basic functions and functions of each module are analyzed..The main configuration methods and contents of PMU sub-stations are summarized,including synchronous phasor acquisition unit configuration and data concentrator configuration.As the pre-acquisition unit of WAMS,PMU sub-station communicates with WAMS master station dispatched at all levels.The communication content includes real-time data transmission and file transmission.The data format of transmission and the process of establishing communication flow are analyzed.According to the requirements of the test outline,specific off-line detection methods are proposed for PMU sub-stations,including circuit resistance check,measurement accuracy test,clock synchronization performance check,data recording function check,communication function check with WAMS master station,device alarm function check,man-machine interface function check and work power supply test.This paper reviews the process of connecting the PMU sub-station of 500 kV Rongjiang Station to the WAMS master station of the general dispatch of the Southern Power Grid,analyses the configuration method and test method of the PMU sub-station access,and solves the problem of setting the MTU value of the routing node in the implementation process.
