Research On Tank Coating Technology For Product Oil/Chemical Tanker

Tank coating is known as a special method that distinguish it from normal coating for ships,which is widely used in shipbuilding now,and it is necessary to those cabins with high requirement of anti-corrosion or other specific requirements,such as the liquid cargo tanks of Product Oil/Chemical Tanker and other normal ships,the special cabins of specific ships,and so on.Because of the higher requirements of quality,more complex technical process,more difficult technique and more kinds of specific equipments compared with normal coating,tank coating represents the highest standard of ship coating engineering usually.As China's shipbuilding industry develops,some large shipyards have mastered a certain degree of tank coating construction technology by building high value-added kinds of ships like Product Oil/Chemical Tankers.Due to the lack of systematic research,tank coating construction depends on workers ' experience,and then develops slowly,which can not fit the rapid growth of shipbuilding industry in our country now.Focusing on the difficulty and the problems that are not fixed in tank coating construction,this paper includes following aspects of contents mainly:(1)The key problems and influence factors in the process of tank coating construction are confirmed basing on deep research.(2)A fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method of airless spraying construction is proposed through the simulation of tank coating construction under the shipyards' facilities conditions in our country,and a evaluation system for the indexes of parameters in airless spraying process is created,which is restricted by many factors.In order to determine the best process parameters,qualitative evaluation is changed to quantitative evaluation using the jurisdiction degree theory in fuzzy mathematics.(3)Structural defects are classified basing on the domestic and international inspection standards and treatments of structural defects on the steel before tank coating,the causes and solutions are also summarized.(4)Suggestions for improvement on tank coating process are given on account of research on the application of integrated area shipbuilding concept of shell,outfitting and painting in tank coating engineering.(5)The recommended procedures of tank coating process for Product Oil/Chemical Tanker are given,which will be helpful to raise the comprehensive management level in shipyards.
