With the improvement of social living standards,people have higher functional requirements for building products,which directly leads to the complexity of mechanical,electrical and Plumbing(MEP),the "blood vessels" in buildings.Due to the limited space in general buildings,the rational layout of MEP pipelines requires precise and effective pipeline integration.MEP pipeline integration is an iterative and experience-driven process,which requires a lot of time and human resources.Although this process happened in every project,the information and knowledge generated in the process are rarely systematically recorded to support the future decision-making.BIM technology,which is a new concept of managing and storing the information of building life cycle,has the functions of visualization,parameterization and so on.Based on this,this paper will study the BIM technology in the application of MEP pipeline layout.Firstly,BIM pipeline layout information in MEP scheme is classified;secondly,the information of MEP pipeline layout is topologically and quantitatively analyzed,and then the knowledge base of MEP pipeline layout is established.Lastly,the system of MEP pipeline layout based on BIM and knowledge base is realized.The main researches are as follows.(1)Based on analyzing the cases of MEP pipeline layout by the grounded theory,the MEP pipeline layout information system in design,construction and maintenance stages is constructed,and the saturation test is carried out.Then the information system is verified and utilized by semi-structured interview method,and the thinking process of experts to solve the MEP pipeline layout problems is summarized.On the basis of the process,the information system of collision representation based on expert thinking is constructed.It lays the groundwork for the topology and quantification of pipeline layout information in MEP scheme.(2)The concept of topological relationship is introduced to analyze the topological characteristics of MEP pipelines and establish pipeline topological model of MEP scheme.Firstly,the adjacency relationship in pipeline topological model is focused on to be analyzed and quantified.Secondly,based on the method of entity relationship extraction,the pipeline spacing information in architectural design specifications is structurally processed and expressed in the way of visual network topological maps.Lastly,the layout principle based on pipeline topology is analyzed from three aspects:horizontal layout,vertical arrangement and pipeline synthesis,which provides data support for the establishment of MEP pipeline layout knowledgebase.(3)Building the knowledge base of MEP pipeline layout.The concepts of pipeline layout rules are proposed to express the content of MEP information in a structured way,which includes rules of pipeline topology and MEP pipeline layout coordination measure.The fact base and rule base of MEP pipeline topology and pipeline layout coordination are established by SQL Server 2012 software,which lays the foundation for the realization of MEP pipeline layout system.(4)Applying the above achievements,a MEP pipeline layout system based on BIM and knowledge base is designed and realized.Based on the technology of Revit secondary development and computer programming,parameters of BIM models are extracted and the contents of MEP pipeline layout knowledge base are compiled to realize the two core functions,pipeline topology automatically rule checking and pipeline layout rule application,which provide decision supports for designers.With the help of BIM lightweight management platform,the results of checking and application of MEP pipeline layout rules are visualized,which provides a platform for all parties involved in the construction of communication.This paper contained 70 figures,35 tables and 102 references.
