The aero-engine is the “heart” of the aircraft,and the stability of its work directly affects flight safety.The aero-engine is a kind of equipment with complicated structure,bad working environment and complicated troubles,it is very difficult to deal with those complicated troubles,and the 8D method is a kind of team-oriented problem solving method which has unique advantage to solve complex causes and interdisciplinary troubles,so it has a great practical significance to introduce the 8D method into the engine repair field.Firstly,it introduces the workflow,characteristics and scope of application of the 8D method.Secondly,based on the reliability theory,according to the characteristics of the aviation engine maintenance work and the requirements of the 8D method,every step of the 8D method is process-designed,in order to meet the needs of aviation engine maintenance;then take the CFM56-7B engine as an example,using reliability analysis,failure mode and impact analysis,fault tree analysis and fuzzy theory,etc.,to analyze four typical faults of oil system,like the oil consumption of the oil system is high,the oil pressure is high,etc,calculate the probability importance of the basic event,which provided a basis for oil system's troubleshooting.Finally,the conventional maintenance method and the 8D method were used to troubleshoot the oil pressure fluctuations caused by multiple causes.The comparison found that the 8D method has a great advantage in solving problems similar to the rare resprestation and the more complicated reasons,and the problem is solved more thoroughly.The analysis results have important guiding significance for the subsequent 8D in the maintenance of aero-engines,and have certain reference significance for the improvement of the maintenance capability and maintenance quality of the maintenance enterprise.
