Along with the high-quality development of the civil aviation industry,the construction,renovation and expansion of the airport terminal building,which is an important part of the civil aviation industry,has also increased year by year.While the terminal building brings great convenience to people,there are often a series of problems such as the complexity of the building space,the excessive area of the fire protection zone,and the excessive distance of safe evacuation.These problems bring great challenges to the fire safety of the terminal building.Based on the idea of performance-based fire protection design,this paper uses modern fire safety engineering ideas and methods to analyze the safety evacuation of personnel in a terminal building.This paper analyzes the characteristics of high-rise buildings such as airport terminals,and focuses on the theory of safe evacuation of personnel in performance-based design.According to the relevant datas collected from the investigation,based on the idea of performance-based fire protection design,the fire scene and safe evacuation model of the departure hall of the terminal is established.Through the fire numerical simulation software Pyrosim,the three fire scenes in the departure hall of the check-in(retail bookstore,office area,and the terminal hall)were analyzed,focusing on the smoke spread and heat radiation during the fire development process,and the fire was obtained.According to data analysis,the values of three important indicators(temperature,smoke layer height,visibility)related to safe evacuation in fire scenarios are obtained,and the time of fire hazard in each fire scenario is obtained,which provides more reliable data for the performance-based fire protection design of terminal buildings.Through the simulation software Pathfinder,the evacuation situation of a terminal fire scene is simulated,and then the necessary safe evacuation time is calculated.According to the idea of performance-based fire protection design,this paper evaluates the fire risk of the terminal building by comparing the fire danger arrival time obtained by simulation with the necessary safe evacuation time for the safe evacuation of personnel,finds out the existing problems,and puts forward the optimization and improvement measures for the terminal building.This study has guiding significance for fire protection facilities and evacuation plans of the terminal building,and also provides reference value for the effective guarantee and improvement of fire safety level of similar tall space buildings.
