With the exacerbating of aging population in China, more and more elders are facing the problem of pension, and the growing elderly population has been widely concerned, among which the residence of the elders is one of the important issues. How to meet the changing physiological, psychological and behavioral needs of the elders is an issue worthy of attention and research.Shenzhen built a number of settlements in the 80 's when it became one of the special economic zones. As time passes, the residents who lived there have gradually entered.Because the buildings were constructed a long time ago when the residents were young, planning and designing of the residential areas lacks adequate consideration of the elderly, resulting in the environmental problems outside the current residential areas, and the buildings cannot meet the needs of the gradually aging residents.Based on the country's current "9073" pension policy, home pension and community pension mainly rely on the residential environment to carry out,a good environment outside the living area can protect the daily activities of the elderly. Therefore, evaluating the use of the environment outside the residential area from the perspective of the elderly, and making corresponding transformation strategies for the original external environment is in line with the development trend. This paper firstly interprets the relevant theories such as the use status evaluation, the health needs of the elderly and the level of demand, and clarifies the needs of the elderly.By sorting out and analyzing the research status and practice of the above-mentioned several levels at home and abroad, the research ideas of this paper are clarified.Secondly, six representative residential areas completed in Futian District of Shenzhen in the 1980 s were selected as research objects.Based on existing researches at home and abroad,an evaluation system was constructed, and the use status evaluation method was used to satisfy the elderly in the living environment.Questionnaires and interviews were conducted for the evaluation of the satisfaction of the elderly, including road traffic, public activity space, green landscape, public service facilities and environmental supporting facilities, and the satisfaction of the sub-districts Environmental satisfaction and dissatisfaction factors. At the same time, conduct real-life surveys of settlements, grasp the current situation of the residential environment, and combine the needs of the elderly to explore the causes and contradictions between the two.On the basis of the above, analyze the use of the current situation at each level, combined with the evaluation results, and propose targeted reforms for the external environment of the old settlements to meet the living needs of the elderly.Through the above analysis and research,we hope to comprehensively grasp the problems existing in the early aging environment in the early aging level, and provide some reference for the transformation of the old residential environment to meet the needs of the elderly.Ensuring the safety, accessibility and comfort of the living environment of the elderly also provides a new way of thinking for urban renewal in the context of urban stock planning.
