Research On Technology Of Corner Of Hsien-shan Roof In Three Areas Of Jin,Ji And Yu In Chinese Central Plains Region From 782 AD To 1234 AD With Typological Method

Hsien-shan Roof(Gable and hip Roof)is one of the most important Roof forms of Chinese traditional building for its high grade,versitility and typical technology,so that the Hsien-shan Roof is one of the most important research objects of the Chinese architecture history,especially of the history of technology of Chinese traditional timber structure.This dissertation has selected 81building remains with Hsien-Shan Roof,built from 782 AD to 1234 AD in Shanxi-Heibei-Heinan region as research objects.The dissertation analysis the structure member of the Corner Structure in these building remains with the archaealogy typological method,and discusses the composition of the Corner Structure from the angle of mechanics.Finally the dissertation tags the period from the characteristics of the composition of Corner Structure of the building remains,then sums up the compositional laws of Corner Structure and according to these analyses the dissertation establishes an age scale of the technology of Corner Structure in building remains with Hsien-shan Roof in Shanxi-Heibei-Heinan region from 8~thh century AD to 12~thh century AD.This dissertation sums up the features of changing times of the technology of Corner Structure of the building remains with Hsien-Shan Roof in Shanxi-Heibei-Heinan region from 8~thh century AD to 12~thh century AD,and estimates date of the establishment of some building remains in the region and the period.
