As an important part of modern management system,remote meter reading system plays an important role.At present,there are many kinds of remote meter reading modes.The commonly used modes are 485 bus and carrier wave meter reading.But these modes have some limitations in the actual application process,such as instrument without communication ability,communication mode.Block failures or communication interfaces cannot be opened to the outside world,etc.In order to solve the above problems,this paper designs and implements a remote meter reading system based on image processing technology.Firstly,the system collects the image of the instrument through the camera,carries out image processing and digital recognition on the instrument image in the raspberry Linux terminal,and finally transmits the recognition result to the remote center through the Wi-Fi module.Storage and monitoring of current data.The work accomplished in this subject mainly includes:1.In the structural design of the system,aiming at the waste of flow and space caused by the need to transmit image to the control center in most meter reading systems,a system structure is designed,in which the meter reading terminal directly recognizes the image of the instrument.The system uses raspberry pi 3b+ as the terminal controller and the special camera of raspberry pie as the camera to take pictures.The device is set in a closed environment,with supplementary lights on both sides to reduce the interference of light and other factors.The reliability of the structure is proved by experiments using the Wi-Fi module on the raspberry pie board for communication transmission.2.In the design of image processing algorithm,aiming at the initial positioning problem of LCD screen,the shortcomings of other positioning algorithms such as edge-based or texture-based positioning algorithms are analyzed.By analyzing the color features of various LCD screens on the market,a new positioning algorithm based on color features is proposed.The experiment proves the algorithm.It can adapt to most LCD screens on the market,and the positioning effect is considerable.Aiming at the problem of binary segmentation,this paper compares the existing mainstream binarization algorithms,combines the advantages of global threshold method and local threshold method,and designs an improved binarization algorithm combining Bernsen algorithm and OTSU algorithm,which can effectively overcome light.On the basis of uneven illumination,the processing speed is greatly improved.3.In the development and design of remote center,C.NET technology,JAVA WEB and SSM framework technology are studied.Data receiving and receiving background program based on C# is designed as data transmission layer,data monitoring center website based on SSM framework is designed as data monitoring layer,and MySQL is used as storage database to realize data.Transport,monitoring,and persistent storage.Experiments and field tests show that the system is easy to install,stable and reliable,and relatively inexpensive.Moreover,the image processing algorithm in this paper has good recognition effect for all kinds of instruments.In the case that some other remote meter reading technologies are not well implemented or have other limitations,the system is a good choice.In addition,the system can also be used as an independent measuring instrument in many fields such as industrial control,remote monitoring and so on.It has broad market and application prospects.
