| Smart meter reading system evolved in recent years and had became a mainstream meter reading system. It is composed by the measure meter, collection organ, gather organ and computer station. This system collects the data from the collecting machine. Process the data and then sends them to the computer main station. This system replaces the traditional manual meter reading. It saves the labor and gets data accurately. Smart metering system meets the requirements for the future smart grid development. In the background of wireless networks and large data, it can manage the grid better. So studying the remote smart meter reading system will get good prospects.This paper introduces the design and realization of remote smart meter reading system, which takes Cortex-A8 microprocessor DM3730 as the controller, and GPRS module GR47 used for wireless communication processing. The intelligent system can provide a kind of remote meter and reading scheme which has less investment and gets high performance. It can collect and analysis the substation operation data effectively, timely and accurately.This paper analyses the research background and development status of smart meter reading system. Point out the bottlenecks in the development of the previous generation meter reading. Analyses and compares the common energy data transmission. At last it selects the GPRS mode as the wireless data transmission. The paper describes the hardware solutions in details, gives a detailed design on the circuit of each module. It analyses the PCB design and describes the laminated design, the power supply layout, the clock and reset signal layout. Describes the Linux system starting process, and introduces the production methods of U-boot, Kernel and file system that the system needs to start. It provides the reliable hardware environment for software designers. Finally, this paper summarizes the work that done, identify the shortcomings and directions for further research. |
