Due to its compact structure,high transmission efficiency and flexible control,the in-wheel motor is an important research direction in the current automotive field.However,the traditional design of single motor drive with speed reducer or direct drive cannot make the motor work effectively in a wide range.This paper proposes a new drive system with dual-motor coupling.The research contents include:Configuration analysis of a dual motor coupling drive system.Compared and analyzed the differences between the single motor drive with speed reducer and the dual motor coupling drive in the high efficiency area expansion of the motor,this paper proposed a new in-wheel motor configuration of the dual motor speed coupled.For each working mode of the new in-wheel motor configurations,this paper explained the coupling relationship between power flow and motor torque speed in detail.Analysed the vehicle power demand based on cycle conditions.Firstly,the maximum demand power and the maximum demand torque are analyzed and calculated from the vehicle's power target.Then,selected the representative automobile cycle conditions and counted the vehicle operating conditions under each cycle condition.and get the rated torque and vehicle speed of the whole vehicle,providing the basis for power matching and efficiency matching of the subsequent drive system.Parameter matching of the dual motor coupling drive system.Based on the vehicle power demand,the matching methods of the dynamic parameters of the dual motor coupling drive system are studied.The external characteristics and efficiency characteristics of the permanent magnet synchronous motor are studied in depth and then finished power matching and efficiency matching of the motor,which can enhance the motor and vehicle adaptation ability and improve the economy of the entire vehicle.Design and simulation analysis of permanent magnet synchronous motor.The design method of the stator size of the motor is deeply studied,and derived the analytical expression of the optimal stator split ratio based on the maximum power density.Ant got a new design method that conbined the traditional electromagnetic load design method and the optimal stator split ratio method to determine the stator geometry of the motor.In addition,Ansys Maxwell finite element software was used to parameterize the important parameters of the motor to study its influence on the performance of the motor.Based on the design idea of the combination of occasions,this paper designed two permanent magnet synchronous motors and simulation results meeted the design goals.
