The stance of the car is the visual feeling that people experience when looking at the overall appearance of the car at a long distance.It is also called stance,which is used to describe the visual state of the car standing.It is mainly influenced by the silhouette and is one of the key points of the automobile styling.Today’s auto industry is undergoing a period of change in ‘Autonomy + Connectivity + Electric + Services’.These changes have directly led to a change in the stance of the vehicle.At present,there is still a lack of experience in this area,and it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on the stance.In the literature review,the problem of large span between form and semantics in the research and practice of existing automobile styling is analyzed,and it is tried to solve from the perspective of stance.First of all,through the literature and case studies,the definition of the stance and the influence of package are theoretically studied.Then,the car designer was interviewed,the definition of stance was improved,and the evaluation index and influencing factors of the stance were extracted from the interview.The theoretical analysis and the results of the designer interviews were integrated to obtain the five professional evaluation indexes of the stance,namely,the vertical tendency of the visual center of gravity,the lengthwise tendency of the visual gravity,the widthwise tendeny,the stability and the ability(five items are all visual feelings).On this basis,a stance cognition system with target,professional evaluation index,feature combination mode and specific feature is established.Then,taking the side stance of the SUV as an example,the correlation between the evaluation index and the influencing factors in the system is studied.Stance cognition survey was conducted for ordinary users,and nine influencing factors of feature line trend and feature proportion of sample models were characterized and quantified.Finally,the correlation between the survey results and the influencing factors is analyzed,and the cognitive law of the SUV side stance is obtained,and the limitations of the design experience are analyzed.Finally,in the design process of an electric concept SUV,the cognitive laws are applied.
