Study Of Dry Bulk Shipping Market Investment Environment Influence Factors Based On RM-BP-DEMATEL

The dry bulk shipping market is a cyclical market so that the environment factors constantly affect the investment cost of the ship and the profitability after completion.Besides,the ship investment has a large investment amount and a long payback period.Due to the high risk of ship investment,the ship investment decision is a vital management decision of dry bulk shipping enterprises.The result of ship investment decision has an important impact on the company's development.Therefore,it is necessary to make a research on the investment environment of before investing in dry bulk vessels.This paper uses RM-BP-DEMATEL method to study the influence factors of investment environment in dry bulk shipping market.RM-BP-DEMATEL method improves the traditional decisional decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory(DEMATEL)method with BP neural network and relation map and overcomes DEMATEL's shortage.It makes use of BP neural network training to calculate the weights of connection between factors in relation map,in other words,the direct-relation matrix of various influence factors.Then it takes advantage of DEMATEL method to study the influence factors.This paper collects the statistical data of influence factors of dry bulk shipping investment between 1995 and 2018 and makes an empirical analysis by RM-BP-DEMATEL method.The empirical analysis gets the importance degree and causal relationship of each factor,and selects out the strong driving factors and strong characteristic factors successfully.This study would provide theoretical support and scientific guidance for dry bulk shipping companies to invest in dry bulkers.
