Road deicing is a relatively complicated task in winter,Mechanical cleaning and the use of snow melting agent are the main methods of cleaning in China.It is a safe and environmentally friendly and efficient way to remove ice and snow.It is an urgent problem to be solved in the field of traffic engineering.Inspired by the "Lotus Effect" of nature,this paper sprays coating materials(EWCA,SPC and Seal-100)on cement concrete pavement to form a hydrophobic coating for easy snow removal.Firstly,this paper simulated variation of friction coefficient between ice layer and cement concrete pavement influence of ambient temperature and ice thickness on internal stress and strain of ice layer under driving load through finite element software.The results indicated as follows:the smaller the friction coefficient between the ice layer and pavement layer,the maximum tensile stress,shear stress,maximum tensile strain and shear strain of the ice layer all showed a increasing trend.Pavement without spraying coating material's approximate to the"full contact" state between pavement layer,the friction coefficient is the largest,at this time,the maximum tensile strain and maximum shear strain in the ice layer are 0.175 × 10-5 and 0.320× 10-3,both are less than the ultimate tensile strain and ultimate shear strain of the ice layer,therefore the deicing effect is the worst.Then the deicing performance of the coating method was studied through the impact test,the bending test,the interlaminar pull test,the interlaminar shear test and the indoor deicing simulation test,obtained that the impact resistance,strength and bonding stress of the structure all showed a downward trend with the increasing of the quantity for spray of the coating after spraying the coating materials on the cement concrete pavement.When sprayed coating material which amout was 0.5L/m2,compared with the unpainted coating specimen,the bending stress,normal bond stress and tangential bond stress of the ice coating on the EWCA specimens were reduced by 45.9%,66.7%and 65.4%.And achieved fine effect easy to deicing.Through the contact angle test and the frezee time test,the anti-icing mechanism and the easy deicing mechanism of the coated pavement were analyzed combined with the thermodynamic knowledge.After spraying 0.2L/m2 of wax curing agent SPC and Seal-100,the contact angle was increased by 67.6°,58.30 and 51.1° compared with the reference group,indicating that the coating material formed a hydrophobic membrane with waterproof effect,and respectively extended the icing time of 232s,176s and 126s,which achieved the purpose of removing ice and snow.The effects of coating materials on the surface depth and friction coefficient of the specimen were studied by hand sanding method and pendulum friction method,and the anti-sliding performance of the coating pavement surface was analyzed.To some extent,it can reducing the pendulum value of specimen and reducing the anti-slip performance when spraying coating materials on pavement surface.When the spraying amount of EWCA is 0.35L/m2,the secondary anti-sliding index specified by the anti-slip specification is met.Finally,this paper carried out the outdoor removing ice and snow test on a highway in the western mountain area of Ningxiang City,and analyzed the practicality of Coating material.Research showed that EWCA coating was good for mechanical deicing and pavement protection of concrete pavement.
