Longmen Grottoes,as one of the four nationally famous grottos in China,is a rare cultural treasure.The city of Longmen is located on the Central Plains of China,being the birthplace of the Huaxia civilization.It is of importance to note that the tourism literature available to visitors,plays a key role,in spreading the word of the Grottoes.This information helps to increase awareness of the Grottoes' culture,achieving the purpose of attracting more people to visit.This thesis has been written against this backdrop.It will provide readers with a deep insight into the history,culture and future direction of this priceless national heritage.Further,the auther have expanded her work to take this deeper understanding to produce,maybe even transform,current literature,keepsakes and other souvenirs.This thesis will stimulate interest into the past,present and future;the wellbeing of Longmen Grottoes.This article mainly analyzes the historical background,humanistic spirit and aesthetic significance of Fengxian in Longmen to create cultural products,achieving the value and significance of Grottoes' cultural propaganda.On the one hand,the author analyzed the current cultural products available to the general public of the other three main grottoes in China,"Mogao Grottoes," "Yungang Grottoes" and "Maijishan Grottoes," helping the reviewer to understand the existing cultural and creative directions of grotto culture.On the another hand,comparison to the existing paraphernalia offering of Longmen Grottoes yielded the problems and shortcomings of the cultural and creative designs;thus leading to an exploration of the possibility of improvement in the understanding,process and ultimate outputs available for site visitors to enjoy.The author also summarized the visual elements,like plant and animal decoration,clouds,which were prominent in Fengxian culture.These elements were used as illustrations to design cultural and creative products.Meanwhile,this thesis also combined practice and theory,in that there are a number of cultural and creative products based on the sculptures of Fengxian.Finally,this thesis summarized the shortcomings of study,and proposes a way forward in terms of direction,in order to help future research.
