BIM,Building Information Modeling,was introduced in China in 2002 and has not been widely used in engineering construction.Until the promulgation of the "2011-2015 Construction Industry Informatization Development Outline",it proposed the necessity of using BIM technology as an important part of the informationization development of the construction industry.BIM technology has the advantages of three-dimensional visualization,data structure,work synergy,etc.If BIM technology is fully promoted in the road engineering design industry,it will inject new vitality into the future development of the road engineering industry,which will not only promote green Construction,optimization of green construction plans,optimization of project management,and can improve project quality,reduce cost and safety risks,and improve management efficiency of engineering projects.Based on a large number of literature research,BIM has been used in the field of road engineering design.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out relevant research on BIM technology in road engineering design,which provides a useful reference for the future application of BIM in the road engineering design stage.This paper first investigates the status quo of BIM technology research and application at home and abroad,summarizes and organizes the research results of predecessors,and points out some problems existing in the design of domestic CAD technology.This leads to the value of BIM technology in the whole life cycle of road engineering project design,construction and operation.Then,based on the domestic experience of using road BIM design software,OpenRoads under Bentley platform is selected as the road modeling modeling software,and the 3D route flat and vertical line design method based on 3D digital terrain model is constructed by visual drawing.Cross-section template;3D line-of-sight analysis of highways based on Microsation.Finally,this paper takes the Changyi expansion project as an example to explore and verify the practical application of 3D road modeling based on BIM technology in road engineering design projects.The three-dimensional model of the road is designed on the three-dimensional digital terrain model,and the three-dimensional model of the road is quickly established,and the rapid statistics of the engineering quantity are performed.Compared with the traditional two-dimensional design method,the three-dimensional road design based on BIM technology can improve the design efficiency and quickly carry out the statistics of engineering quantity.The three-dimensional line-of-sight analysis is beneficial to the optimization and comparison of the scheme.This paper studies the three-dimensional road design method and engineering case analysis,and promotes the promotion of BIM technology in road engineering projects.
