The street is the support and carrier of social activities,the integration of life and traffic space,is an important element to reflect the city's vitality,economic development and show the city's image.With the continuous development and evolution of the city,the main role of motor vehicles in the modern road system has been constantly promoted.Cars occupy the pedestrian passage and activity space in the street,seriously splitting the convenient connection between functional activities on both sides of the street.How to effectively solve this problem,build a pedestrian friendly street network system,realize the effective connection between urban functional space and residents' activity places,and realize the organic connection between orderly social development and the improvement of personal life quality is a major issue that should be paid attention to in the stage of urban renewal and development.Based on the above considerations,this paper,on the basis of studying the balance development of urban traditional traffic supply and demand,takes the old city of Jinan as a case,starts with the analysis of the relationship between pedestrian travel demand and the supply of street environment elements,to establish a quantitative analysis approach to evaluate the pedestrian friendliness of streets.The first chapter is about the research background,research purpose and meaning of introduction,in defining the relevant concepts,combing the domestic and foreign research progress on the basis of the paper's research focus,which is based on the analysis of supply and demand of city street pedestrian friendliness of quantitative evaluation and further determine the research methods of this article,the research contents and technical route.The second chapter is related to basic research,on the basis of theoretical analysis,a street for pedestrians travel demand and supply factors corresponding relationship is analyzed,based on the user functional requirements of the daily activities,environmental factors on the streets for screening,build corresponding relationship between supply and demand,and on this basis,the pedestrian friendliness and evaluation index are extracted.The third chapter is based on the old city of Jinan as a case for street pedestrian friendliness evaluation,and conducts a research on the inner streets of the old city of Jinan,calculates the street pedestrian friendliness index,checks the calculation results with the analysis of street vitality,Optimizes and adjusts the evaluation index system to determine the key factors affecting the pedestrian friendliness of streets.The fourth chapter mainly interprets the characteristics of street space supply and demand based on the evaluation results of pedestrian friendliness,and summarizes the characteristics and main problems of street space supply and demand from the functional demand satisfaction degree and spatial connection satisfaction degree.The fifth chapter puts forward the basic principle of realizing pedestrian friendliness of streets from the perspective of supply and demand balance,draws lessons from domestic and foreign experience,puts forward the optimization idea of pedestrian friendliness of streets from the three aspects of land use function,traffic connection and spatial environment,and proposes specific solutions to the problems existing in the old city of Jinan.The sixth chapter is the conclusion summary and the research prospect.
