Quantitative Research On Urban Street Vitality Based On Walking Index

Urban street space is an important part of urban public living space.The adequacy of street vitality will directly affect the quality of life of the whole city.However,the rapid development of urbanization and traffic motorization has led to the weakening of street vitality.The quality of plastic street living space is becoming more and more important.Under the support of scientific research methods such as new technology big data,it is an important method of urban scientific research to re-examine quantitative analysis of street space vitality from the perspective of data analysis.This paper takes urban life street as the research object,and establishes the street vitality quantitative evaluation index system from the four dimensions of street material characteristics,street traffic convenience,street function characteristics and street walking environment through data collection,through the questionnaire survey and field research.Based on the evaluation system,two typical areas in the new and old city of Zhengzhou City were selected.Through the quantitative analysis of the indicators of the evaluation system,the quantitative results of the walking vitality of the living streets in the area were obtained,and corresponding improvement strategies were proposed for the street vitality characteristics.It mainly includes the following contents:First,analyze the development background and basic theory of urban street walking system.By combing the relevant research and theory of street walk vitality,the definition and connotation of living street and street vitality are expounded,and the feasibility of urban street vitality quantitative research under the background of urban planning big data environment is discussed.Secondly,drawing on the "walk score" algorithm,through the literature summary and questionnaire survey method,the streets with seven individual indicators including the material characteristics of the street,the convenience of street traffic,the street function and the street walking environment are selected.The vitality evaluation index system uses the analytic hierarchy process to determine the weights of each indicator,calculates the comprehensive evaluation results of street vitality,and constructs a street vitality quantitative evaluation system.Finally,two mature areas in the new and old town of Zhengzhou City were selected.Based on the quantitative evaluation system of street vitality,the vitality of living streets in the area was quantitatively evaluated.Based on the quantitative evaluation results of street vitality,the improvement strategy of improving street vitality was proposed.
