Research On The Protection And Renewal Of Streets And Lanes Of Traditional Villages In Northeast Jiangxi Province

Located at the border of the four provinces,the northeast of Jiangxi province has numerous mountains and dense water network.Its unique geographical location leads to the development of local water and land transportation,which links the trade of the four surrounding provinces.With rich resources and hard-working and honest people,the porcelain and paper industry in this region is a handicraft industry famous both in and out of the sea in history.The traditional villages in this area are influenced by the industrial and commercial culture,blood and clan,as well as the feng shui theory,forming its unique street space.As an important public space,streets and lanes not only connect physical space such as architecture,environment and landscape,but also carry immaterial culture such as local historical context,folk customs and villagers' life.As the skeleton supporting the whole traditional village,the streets and lanes should receive more research and attention in the protection of traditional villages.Based on the data collection and investigation of 27 traditional villages in northeast Jiangxi province,this dissertation firstly summarizes the spatial characteristics of streets and lanes in traditional villages in northeast Jiangxi province from four aspects:the generation environment of streets and lanes,morphological layout,style interface and human behavior.Second,find out the problems existing in the street space of traditional villages in this area.Thirdly,the strategies of protection and renewal are analyzed from the aspects of the fabric,traffic,interface,node,physical space of infrastructure,villagers' participation,immaterial environment of cultural business,and supervision and management of streets and lanes.Finally,with the case study of Chenfang village in lead-hill county,the protection and renewal planning and design of the street and lane space in the village was carried out in combination with the theory and practice,and the feasibility of the protection and renewal method was discussed and verified.
