Study On The Space Protection And Renewal Of Traditional Streets In Daokou Town,Hua County,Henan Province

Daokou town,as an ancient canal town in history,has a traditional spatial structure of "three streets,six shops and seventy-two alleys".Under the common influence of specific geography,climate,social culture and other aspects,the layout and spatial characteristics of streets and alleys in Daokou Town have strong regional characteristics,and they are also the material carrier of residents’ life style and history and culture.In addition,the traditional street space not only plays the role of traffic organization,but also embodies the social organization structure and social network in ancient townsBased on the study of the excellent cases and related theories of the protection and renewal of traditional streets and alleys at home and abroad,this paper starts with the analysis of the spatial components of traditional streets and alleys,and believes that we should not only protect and renew the physical environment,but also protect and continue the immaterial environment.In addition,through analysis,three principles of traditional street space protection and renewal are summarized,including layered overall protection,improving the vitality of the block and maintaining the authenticity of the block.Based on this,firstly,the historical pattern,influencing factors and spatial components of traditional streets and alleys in Daokou Town were investigated and analyzed,and their characteristics were summarized.Combined with the successful factors of street protection and renovation at home and abroad,the principles and strategies for street space protection and renovation in Daokou Town were summarized.Then,through the investigation of the current situation of the streets and alleys of Shunhebei Street,the characteristics of the current situation and the existing problems are analyzed and summarized.Then,in the design of Shunhebei Street,the protection and renewal strategy of Daokou Town’s traditional streets and lanes is implemented.The spatial protection and renewal strategies of the streets and alleys of Shunhebei Street can be divided into three aspects: firstly,the protection and promotion of the material elements in the streets and alleys,including the maintenance of spatial structure,the continuation and reinforcement of spatial nodes,and the renovation and renewal of interface;Second,the protection and continuation of the immaterial environment,including economic improvement,street culture inheritance;Thirdly,the promotion of the vitality of the block includes two aspects:functional compound and the promotion of the accessibility of the block.
