In order to make the calculation result of the unsignalized intersections capacity closer to the actual capacity,it is more instructive for the rational design of the unsignalized intersections.The traditional analysis and calculation method of the unsignalized intersections needs innovation and development,Building the capacity model that can reflect the actual situation at the intersections has become the focus of research.The paper focuses on the traffic characteristics,traffic capacity and intersection delay of unsignalized intersections.The traffic characteristics of the Two-way Stop-controlled intersections and the All-way Stop-controlled intersections under the influence of the pedestrian are analyzed respectively,and the specific rules of the intersections in different situations are obtained.The conflict technique is used to analyze the conflict of the Two-way Stop-controlled intersections and the All-way Stop-controlled intersections,and the traffic capacity calculation models of the intersections are obtained.According to the traffic characteristics of different unsignalized intersections,determining model parameters and conflict coefficients,making the traffic capacity model more in line with the actual operation of the unsignalized intersections.The practicality of the model is verified by a typical Two-way Stop-controlled intersection and a typical All-way Stop-controlled intersection.First,the actual measurement of the traffic volume and average delay of the two intersections is carried out and analyzed.Secondly,according to the previously obtained conflict-technique-based capacity models,the capacity of two typical unsignalized intersections to the every motor vehicle flow is calculated,and the shared lane capacity of the two unsignalized intersections and the average delay of the motor vehicles are calculated.Finally,based on the analysis of the traffic characteristics of the two unsignalized intersections,the VISSIM software is used to simulate the Two-way Stop-controlled intersection and the All-way Stop-controlled intersection,and the simulation results of the average delay of the motor vehicle flow and the shared lane are obtained.The conclusion of comparing the actual measurement results,calculation results and simulation results of the Two-way Stop-controlled intersection and the All-way Stop-controlled intersection is obtained.It is found that the three results have the same trend and the error is within the acceptable range.The validity of the two unsignalized intersection capacity models is proved,which proves that the model is more practical.
