| With the rapid growth of China’s economic aggregate and the continuous improvement of people’s living standards,motor vehicles are gradually popularized in China.Nowadays,the road network of many cities is overloaded,which has caused severe traffic congestion and hindered the healthy development of cities.The rational design of intersections plays a vital role in the smooth operation of traffic flow,because intersections are important traffic nodes for the collection and dispersion of traffic flows.When designing an intersection,the purpose is to separate the traffic flow that may conflict from space and time,so as to ensure the safe,efficient and smooth operation of the traffic flow at the intersection.It has been noticed that widening the part of the entrance road of a signalized intersection can temporarily increase the number of lanes,thereby achieving the purpose of improving the capacity of the intersection and the performance of the urban road network.Due to space constraints,the widened entrance lane will not be too long,so this part of the lane will be a short lane or a widened section of the intersection.However,in the city’s high-load intersections,short-lane lanes tend to overflow the vehicle.People generally set up common lanes to alleviate the queue overflow.However,due to the randomness of the traffic flow,the mutual interference between the lanes is caused.Significantly reduce the space utilization of the intersection widening section,increase the delay to cross the vehicle,and reduce the traffic capacity of the intersection.In this paper,the urban intersection with large traffic load is taken as the research object.In order to solve the mutual interference between the left-turn traffic and the straight traffic on the shared lane of the intersection widening section,the setting method of the time-sharing use of the shared lane of the intersection widening section is proposed.And from the basic ideas,operation process and signal control,the time-sharing shared lanes are comprehensively expounded,so as to achieve the full use of the intersection widening space.The general research content is as follows:1.The basic theory of signal management at intersections.Firstly,the basic theories and methods of traffic signal control are introduced and elaborated,including the basic concepts of intersection signal control,relevant time parameters and traffic parameters,and three performance indicators for evaluating intersection operation.On this basis,the typical intersection marking function and signal timing model are introduced,and the important intersection research tool of traffic simulation is introduced.2.Shared lane capacity model.Establish a shared lane capacity model under the influence of short lanes.This paper analyzes the probability of the left-turn and straight traffic queues overflowing and blocking each other under the influence of short-distance lanes,establishes the shared lane capacity model,and discusses the influence of the factors such as the left-turn straight-through vehicle ratio,signal period and green-signal ratio of the shared lane on the traffic capacity.degree.3.Timeshare shared lane setting.This paper introduces the basic idea,operation process and signal control of time-sharing shared lane setting at heavy-duty intersections,and elaborates the mechanism and applicable conditions of time-sharing shared lanes in solving mutual interference problems between left-turn traffic and direct traffic.4.Example application.After conducting traffic survey and problem analysis at the peak time of a certain intersection in Heze,the minimum average delay is taken as the optimization goal,and the mathematical model and simulation method are used to discuss the optimization effect in actual traffic,and the crossover after the lane sharing is given.The mouth signal management and control scheme provides theoretical support and practical guidance for improving the efficiency of intersection operation and reducing congestion during peak periods. |
