With the increase of population,the scale of city continues to expand,its surrounding areas continue to flourish,more and more people come and go around,so the traffic congestion is becoming more serious than before.In order to alleviate this situation,China must develop fast urban rail transit.The urban express rail vehicle integrates the advantages of metro cars and high-speed EMUs,which can facilitate people’s travel and is gradually built in various cities.To ensure the safety of the designed and manufactured vehicles,it is necessary to use simulation analysis method to make the design scheme meet the requirements of the standards.Therefore,the design efficiency can be improved and the structure improvement and lightweight design can be facilitated in the design process.Firstly,the development of domestic and foreign urban express rail vehicle and car body materials selection were introduced,the current situation and development trend of simulation analysis were expounded briefly.According to the structure model and technical parameters of a Urban express rail vehicle,the characteristics were analyzed in detail.The car body model was simplified and meshed by using HyperWorks software.Then,the connection relationship of it was simulated to ensure the transfer of force among each part of the car body structure,Thus a complete finite element simulation model of the car body was obtained.According to the evaluation criteria of static strength,stiffness,modal,the established model was solved.The results show that the strength,stiffness,modal of car body structure meet the specified requirements,and the stress of each section of car body structure has a certain margin,compared with the yield strength of the material,which provides a basis for the lightweight design of the car body structure.In order to reduce vehicle weight,the displacement and stress sensitivities of plates are analyzed with different thickness of side wall and chassis under 1.3 times maximum vertical load and no-load compression conditions using the theory of sensitivity analysis.The results show that under 1.3 times maximum vertical load,the sensitivities of side wall profile and chassis profile is relatively high.And the results of data analysis can show the sensitivity of different sheet thickness under each working condition,which provides a reference for the next optimization design of car body size.Referring to the sensitivity analysis results,1.3 times maximum vertical load was selected as the optimum condition,and the weight loss of side wall and chassis profile was 0.407t after size optimization roundness.Finally,the strength,stiffness and modal checks are carried out again to determine the feasibility.The results of this paper provide some references for the design and structural optimization of urban express rail vehicles in China.
