An emerging BIM technology gradually plays a role in the field of infrastructure,with the development of engineering construction and computer technology.The interchange as an important part of urban transportation which has an irreplaceable role in solving the problem of urban traffic congestion.At present,the application on BIM technology in the life-cycle of the interchange needs to be promoted,especially in the design stage of the interchange.However,the traditional design method is still used which including traditional design concepts,fragmented design processes,low degree of data collaboration between different majors,and data are easily lost during the transmission of different construction links.For all this,in order to solve the above problems in the design stage of interchanges this study tried to apply the advanced concepts of BIM technology,and carried out the following research work:(1)According to the common problems in the design stage and the application status of BIM technology in the field of transportation,the current common interchange BIM design platform and application software were compared and analyzed,and the characteristics of EICAD were determined to solve the problem.(2)The specific design flow Interchange under the new concept design stage of preparation and design process was established by combining the concept of BIM technology and EICAD.In the research process,the use of EICAD’s own functions combined with the"concentric circle" theory commonly used in the construction of interchanges to study the method on how the linear layout and cross section are connected when the main line of the interchange and the ramp are connected,and concluded" The specific method of plane layout between "Y-shaped" interchange ramp and the main line.(3)In order to solve the data collaboration problem between different majors in the interchange design process,the secondary development method was introduced,using the EICAD design software as the platform,using VB and Lisp two languages as tools for the linear and structural majors in the interchange design process Collaborative research between data.Through research,the specific application process of program fusion,attribute expansion,data collaboration and database application is obtained.(4)Through the Zhangwudong interchange interchange design project,the researched design process and the collaborative function of the secondary development were verified.After verification,it was concluded that the design process with the new concept met the design requirements of the actual design project Which play a role of data collaboration in the project.The analysis of this study showed that by the EICAD design software combined with the work concept of BIM technology and commonly used design theory,the design process of interchange can be realized;the secondary development method proposed in the article can realize,the data collaboration between different majors in the design process.The subdeveloped architecture can provide new research ideas for data collaboration among other majors at the design stage.All the research content is of great significance for improving the design efficiency of interchanges,and also making up for the shortcomings of traditional design methods,meanwhile solving the problem of data loss during the construction of interchanges.
