Research On Optimization Of Empty Container Transportation In Shipping Alliance

Container transportation is a new,efficient and efficient mode of transportation,which is indispensable in today's world economy.Although the world container transport has entered a mature stage,the problem of empty container dispatch has always been plagued by the shipping industry.For shipping companies,empty container shipping is a very difficult problem,empty container shipping not only weakens its transport capacity,but also hinders its pace of opening up new markets,greatly affecting the overall profitability of the industry.In recent years,affected by the continuing downturn of international trade,shipping market presents a serious situation of excess capacity and low efficiency of empty container turnover.In order to reverse this downturn,more and more shipping companies join the camp of shipping alliance,hoping to reduce the risk and cost of individual operation through the form of alliance and seek win-win cooperation.In order to achieve the goal of the alliance,it is very important for members to learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses,reduce the idleness of empty boxes and improve the utilization rate of resources.Firstly,this paper briefly reviews the research status of empty container dispatching at home and abroad in recent years.Secondly,on the basis of sorting out the process of empty container dispatching,this paper analyses the causes of container circulation,empty container dispatching and the common methods of solving the problem of empty container dispatching by liner companies at present.At the same time,it introduces the origin and development process of shipping alliance,and analyses the causes and current situation of shipping alliance.Then,from the perspective of shipping alliance,considering the supply and demand of empty containers,ship capacity,overtime use,empty containers storage capacity and other constraints,aiming at minimizing the total cost of acquiring empty containers in the decision-making period,an optimization model of shipping alliance's empty containers dispatching is established.In the process of modeling,the deterministic empty container demand and stochastic empty container demand of liner companies at different ports at different times are fully taken into account,which accords with the stochastic and dynamic characteristics of empty container dispatching problem and makes the model closer to reality.Finally,an example is given to verify the validity of the model.The model can provide decision-making reference for empty container dispatching in shipping alliance.The innovative results of this paper are:put forward the idea of low-cost swap cooperation in the alliance system,punish the over-return behavior,improve the previous container empty container transportation model,and analyze the model.
