The economic benefits of Jingtang Port Area of Tangshan Port are becoming increasingl y prominent.The port channel is restricted by one-way navigation.The contradiction between the capacity of the channel and the development of the port is becoming more and more serio us.How to improve the efficiency of ships entering and leaving the port in the channel is an u rgent problem to be solved.Taking Tangshan Jingtang Port Area as the research object,this p aper studies the efficiency of ship's entry and exit in waterway by selecting relevant algorithm s and using the core indexes of queuing theory system,such as queue captain and queue capta in,to study the efficiency of ship's entry and exit in waterway.The arrival and departure of ships is a typical queuing phenomenon.The arrival and depa rture of ships are regarded as a typical queuing phenomenon.The classical M/M/C queuing th eory model is established by statistic analysis of the arrival distribution of ships in Jingtang P ort as Poisson distribution.According to the traffic capacity and ship field,the number of serv ice desks is limited by the channel capacity.The operation results show that the queue length i s 15 ships,and the average waiting time of ships is 0.53 days.The one-way channel of Jingtan g Port has restricted the development of the port.In view of this,from the perspective of practical engineering application,the number of port service desks should be increased.This paper analyses the characteristics of AIS trajector y of ships entering and leaving the harbour,uses statistical software to analyze the position an d direction of ships entering and leaving the harbour into the main channel,refers to the turnin g waiting area of the main channel,sets up a waiting area for ships in the channel,arranges fo r ships satisfying draft to advance before large deep draft ships enter the channel,and saves th e time of changing the entry and exit ports of one-way channel.Meanwhile,the number of por t service desks has been increased.The waiting area of waterway improves the service efficiency and the number of service desks.The analysis of operation results shows that the queuing pair length is reduced from 15 to 1,and the average waiting time is significantly reduced.Finally,the conclusion is drawn th at the efficiency of ship's entry and exit in waterway waiting area is obviously improved throu gh the validation of queuing theory system.The width of waterway waiting area is 1.2-1.5 nau tical miles on the premise of meeting the criteria.The calculation results provide decision-ma king basis for the establishment of waterway waiting area in port.
