With the development of information technology,information transmission is getting faster and faster,and access to information acquisition is faster and more convenient.This means that rapid information processing will also upgrade major industries,improve their management efficiency and increase their profits.The construction management of the construction project is also the same.If the construction period of the project is long and the scale is large,there will be a lot of information in the management,including not only the engineering geometry information,but also the progress,cost,quality and safety of the project.Modern highway construction needs to be refined management,relying on new technical means is the trend.BIM is a new tool for construction engineering information management,which improves management efficiency in construction engineering management.And whether highway engineering can put BIM for management in practice,to realize the refined management of highway engineering,this is also a subject worth exploring.The progress target is one of the three major control objectives in the construction of highway engineering quality and cost,the key link of the whole construction project cycle.The quality of the progress management can affect the income of the entire highway project,and whether the construction can be completed in time.This paper first analyzes the problems existing in the construction progress management of highway engineering,then lists the characteristics of BIM and considers the possibility of BIM in the progress of highway construction.Finally by appling the advantages in the progress management,researching how to apply BIM to the construction progress management of highway engineering.Based on the establishment of the BIM construction schedule management system,the road model and the progress software project constructed by the BIM modeling software(Civil 3D)are perfectly linked.Connecting the traditional schedule planning with the 3D model to monitor the construction progress,and establishing a 4D model(a 3D model with time information added)to study the construction scheme of the BIM schedule management information platform.The project information at the construction site includes the layout of the construction personnel,the use of construction machinery,the amount of materials used,etc.Through timely acquisition of such information,it will help to make new decisions in a timely manner,be more efficient management of highway construction,save construction management costs greatly improve the efficiency of highway engineering,This paper studies the combination of traditional highway construction schedule management mode and BIM,and researches the establishment of BIM schedule management highway engineering schedule prediction model.It predicts the progress of the unit work on the critical line through the schedule prediction model construction schedule,and quickly identifies the progress.It is necessary to strengthen the work of schedule control and take corresponding measures to optimize the construction to ensure the completion of the project schedule.It is verified that the use of BIM technology in actual engineering construction can save construction time and save costs.Fimally,it fully proves that BIM has great application value in the construction management of highway engineering,and also provides a comprehensive application for the future research of BIM in highway engineering construction.
