Research On Evidence-based Design Of The Core Activity Place For The Disabled In Zhejiang Social Welfare Institute

China's mental health problems are increasingly becoming a public health problem that cannot be ignored.The characteristics of low cure rate and high disability rate for mental diseases lead to frequent return to poverty due to illness.The Social Welfare Institute,as the main shelter for adults with intellectual disabilities in China,is their main or even the only place to live.The existing social welfare homes have been unable to meet the new requirements for rehabilitation and management of mentally disabled persons.How to enable the intellectually disabled people to live with dignity and independence,and how to create a higher quality living and working environment for them and medical staff and other related staff,this is a social public cause full of human care and challengingIn this paper,the research object is locked in the core activity space of the mentally handicapped people in the Social Welfare Institute,and the research perspective is focused on the design of the core activity space.The particularity of mentally handicapped persons heralds the specificity of research methods,and seeks design evidence from disciplines related to mental disorders.The use of evidence-based design research methods is the foundation of the thesis(ideology and methodology)The research process of this paper includes three steps:goal establishment,evidence collection and concept development.In the goal setting stage,the design goals are transformed into four researchable questions,which are the daily care of mental disorders and common risks,the normalization of the core activity space of the mentally and physically disabled in the Social Welfare Institute,the optimization of the rehabilitation room and the optimization of the office space.In the evidence collection stage,I conducted evidence-based research on each issue from field research and literature collection,and obtained corresponding space optimization design strategies.The concept development steps are based on the conclusion of the collection,analysis and optimization in the four aspects of general plan design,plan layout,safety protection and key activity space,and propose design strategies such as monomer differences,landscape penetration,and composite functions.The two actual projects are compared and verified in reality.On this basis,this article attempts to explore and guide the possible future development direction of the core activity space of the mentally handicapped and disabled persons in the Chinese Social Welfare Institute.
