Rotary parts are one of the simplest and the most widely used basic structures in the field of machinery.However,the machining precision of rotary parts have a great influence on the performance,stability and reliability of mechanical products.It is of great significance to fully understand the causes,mechanism and transfer rule of errors for rotary parts.This is necessary for errors controlling and products quality improving.Measurement play an important role in identifying and evaluating parts accuracy.There exist many methods for rotary parts properties measurement.However,most of them can only be carried out under the laboratory conditions.Therefore,the research and exploration of rapid measurement methods that can be implemented in engineering applications is of great significance to improve production efficiency and product quality.In this study,rotary mechanical parts are selected as takes as the research object.By analyzing the structural characteristics and process procedure,machining error generation mechanism is revealed.Causes method is used to study the accumulation,coupling and transfer of errors in machining process.Mathematical modeling of the errors in part manufacturing procedure has been established for single and multi-process respectively.The correlation of the mathematical modeling and the practical application has been verified.Existing mechanical measurement technologies have been summarized and classified.The methods are based on the theory of mechanical measurement technology,such as datum conversion and contrast measurement.Application examples of rapid measurement methods in the actual product and manufacturing process are given in the following areas:inner diameter of rotating parts,top cone height of bevel gear blank and runout of bevel gear.Automatic test systems and standard test protocols have been established.Two rapid measurement methods,"rapid measurement method of hole position in disk" and "rapid measurement method of cylindrical gear tooth jump",are proposed based on "fast positioning","Contrast measurement" and "datum transfer".The proposed rapid measurement method is compared with the traditional measurement method.The advantages and disadvantages of different measurement techniques are analyzed synthetically.In order to verify the reliability of the fast measurement method,"the fast measurement method of hole position in disk" was used as an example.Simulation is carried out using AutoCAD software.Three sets of real measurement tests are designed.By comparing the actual measurement data and simulation ones,Efficiency of fast measurement method is verified.It can be concluded in this paper that the application of this measurement could effectively solve the problem which is difficult to perform in actual production of the mid-hole position.
