A Research On The Spatial Morphology Of Valley-type Traditional Villages Along The Taohe River

The Valley-type Traditional Villages Along the Taohe River have a long history and a charming regional culture.There were the place where troops are stationed since ancient times.Han,Tibetan,Hui and Dongxiang intersect in here.At present,the research on this region are few.Most of them are mainly studied on the traditional architecture,the layout of the folk houses,streets,temples and public activities in the settlement.And the study on the influence of nature,culture,history and religion are relatively few.Quantitative analysis of traditional village spatial patterns is still blank in this region.So,on the basis of field investigation and consulting related research literature in this four sample villages,the natural and humanistic background of the Valley-type traditional villages along the Taohe River is combed,based on the unique multi-ethnic cultural background of the region,using traditional village space quantitative methods,the quantitative description and regular characteristics of the spatial form of local traditional villages are obtained.On this basis,analyze the protection status of sample villages in the study region,focus on the shortcomings and problems in its protection activities.First of all,according to the historical background and allusions of the research region,Survey visits to sample villages and surrounding areas with similar conditions,according to the basic data collected from preliminary work,summarize natural conditions such as geographic location,topographical conditions,meteorology,hydrology,soil,biological resources,and humanities.Under the combined action of these factors,such a unique natural human environment and village spatial form can be bred next to the Taohe River.Secondly,the reasons for the site selection of the traditional valley villages in this region are expounded from the aspects of natural environment,cultural environment,religious belief.Introduced the case study method of this study,the overview of traditional villages along the Taohe River and the basic conditions such as the natural conditions and spatial configuration of the four sample villages were studied.Thirdly,from the aspects of the external environment,public space,living environment,and village layout of the sample villages,the corresponding indicators are calculated by the traditional village space quantification method,and the characteristics of the traditional village space in this area are summarized.Finally,according to the conclusion of quantitative analysis,evaluate the current status of sample village protection,and try to find the problems it exposes.
