In the manufacturing industry,reciprocating compressors are one of the commonly used process equipment.As the key equipment for compressing and conveying process media,they play an important role in many key fields such as aviation,aerospace,chemical industry,and petroleum.Its periodic and intermittent working mode makes the gas pulsation unavoidable in the pipeline.A large number of experimental studies and field practices have shown that gas pulsation is the main cause of compressor pipeline vibration,which greatly threatens the safety of the equipment.In the process of vibration reduction of reciprocating compressors and pipeline systems with large gas pulsation,adding orifice plates is a commonly used on-site solution.By optimizing the structure to improve the pulsation suppression level of the orifice plate,the vibration can be more effectively reduced.In this paper,a series of researches on the structural optimization of orifice plates are carried out.Firstly,in this paper,the mechanism of gas pulsation generation,transmission and the excitation of pipeline vibration are explained,and the principle of adding orifice plates to reduce gas pulsation is explained.Based on the concept of making the air flow through the orifice plate to form a vortex to dissipate the energy of the pulsating air mass and reduce the pulsating pressure,the structure of the perforated pulsation steady flow structure with improved single-hole orifice plate is proposed.And the computational fluid dynamics software CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics)is used to simulate the effect and mechanism of some parameters on the pulsation suppression,such as equivalent aperture ratio,the distance from inclined holes to center,the area ratio of inclined holes,the angle of inclined holes.And the optimal parameters of the perforated pulsation steady flow structure were obtained.Based on the principle that the closer the orifice plate is to the surge tank,the closer it is to the ideal state of the orifice plate work,and the better the effect of suppressing gas pulsation,a new pulsation attenuation device from a single-hole orifice plate is proposed.The opening of the structure is directly penetrated into the surge tank,so that the pulsating air mass can directly enter the surge tank,thereby easing the pulsating impact force to a greater extent.And through a series of simulations,it is concluded that the circumferential opening in the structure can play a positive and effective promotion effect on the gas pulsation.The improved new pulsation attenuation devices are applied to a case of vibration reduction of the pipeline in a reciprocating compressor unit,the gas pulsation suppression effect is remarkable.Based on the theoretical and simulation analysis results,stress analysis,vibration signal analysis,and gas pulsation analysis are performed on reciprocating compressors and pipelines with vibration exceeding the standard in a refinery engineering example,and transformation measures are proposed.After the transformation,the effect of reducing vibration is very significant.
