Research On The Design Of The Public Space Of Northern College Dorms Based On Marxist Theory Of Communication

College student apartment is an important part of campus architecture and an important place for college students to live,study and entertain,with the occurrence of many communication activities;these exchanges are indispensable behaviors of college students and play an extremely important role in their overall and healthy development.With the development of economy and society,the construction of university student apartment has been paid more and more attention.Marxist theory of communication makes a scientific study on the root and purpose of communication between people,and expounds the promotion of communication behavior.The existing student apartments are not suitable for the times and the development needs of students,especially the public apartments Common space is not enough to play its function in meeting students' needs,cultivating students' good social ability and behavior habits,and promoting students' healthy growth.Based on Marxist theory of communication,this paper designs and studies the important places — — public space for college dorms to produce communication behavior.On the basis of interpreting Marxist communication theory,this paper,through field investigation,understands the students' various communication behaviors in the apartment,and preliminarily classifies the communication behaviors in the public space of the apartment.By sorting out and analyzing the results of the student questionnaire,the public space of the apartment is positioned as three categories: emotion,common interest and utility.With Marxist communication theory and the reality of university student apartment in North China,this paper analyzes the characteristics and needs of different communication behaviors,puts forward the design principles of each type of communication space,and based on this,according to the characteristics of different public spaces of apartments,combined with the standard requirements and standards of student apartment construction,puts forward the design strategy of emotional apartment public space,common interest apartment public space and utilitarian apartment public space in northern colleges and universities.
