As the basic constituent unit of the urban system, the street bears the functions of pedestrian movement and material circulation. As a part of urban public space, the historical style commercial pedestrian street is not only a place for people's daily shopping transactions and exchanges, but also a space carrier for urban traditional culture and historical memory. With the rapid development of urbanization, the urban design dominated by car gradually weakens the social attributes of streets, and the vitality of streets decreases rapidly. Therefore, the return to the people-oriented commercial pedestrian street is an important support for the sustainable development of the city, making it rejuvenated as an important public space. As a linear public space, continuity is the basic attribute of street space composition, but from the phenomenon of unevenness of street interfaces in China,it is found that the vital center of the street is not the geometric center of the street, but the boundary space of the building. This paper is written from the perspective of pedestrians, and mainly studies the morphological changes of historical pedestrian streets near pedestrian space.Based on the theories of the protection of historical block, the development and evolution of commercial blocks, and the optimization and reconstruction of pedestrian streets, this paper focuses on the continuity of street interfaces in the length direction of street shapes and the unevenness of composite interfaces in the width direction.Firstly, this paper clarifies the physical indicators that control the continuity of the street from the street wall, the line rate of block and the density of the street interface, then proposes the concept of a complex interface to represent the collection of shaded spaces formed by the interface bumps. At the same time, the calculation method and representation meaning of complex interface are summarized.Secondly, starting from foreign excellent cases, the quantitative analysis of streets under the background of domestic colonial culture,Southeast Asia culture and feudal culture is used to study the influence of different cultures on street shapes, and to compare and summarize the fluctuation range of indicators of excellent streets.Secondly, starting from the case of existing commercial pedestrian streets abroad, this paper study the morphological indicators of the street space, and conduct a classified survey and quantitative analysis of the existing streets in the context of domestic colonial culture,Southeast Asia culture and feudal culture, and then study the influence of different cultures on street shapes, and to compare and summarize the fluctuation range of indicators of existingstreets formed by the natural growth.Thirdly, based on the data collected above, the SPSS mathematical analysis software was used to perform correlation analysis on the comprehensive indexes of 15 typical commercial pedestrian streets in China,so as to determine the degree of each index on the interface density and compound interface density. Finally, based on the results of the analysis, the feasibility of its pedestrianized transformation was verified, and corresponding strategies were proposed for the continuity of the street interface and the site optimization of the composite interface by taking Zhongshan Road in Haikou and Enning Road in Guangzhou as examples. The street form is a kind of relative spatial relationship formed by people and things in the long-term production and life. This paper attempts to abandon the simple style imitation of traditional architecture, and excavate the relatively fixed spatial relationship between people and the environment in the street to provide a quantitative reference for the reconstruction of the pedestrian street, and provide a certain theoretical basis for the continuation of history and heritage.
