The Study Of Morphological Characteristics Of Traditional Waterfront Settlements In Henan Island Of Guangzhou

Henan Island of Haizhu District in Guangzhou City is a alluvial plain of the Pearl River Delta.Since the Song Dynasty,people have gradually settled in this island.In the process of the ancestors gradually adapting to the natural environment of Henan Island,many waterfront settlements have been established.Huangpu village and Xiaozhou village belong to traditional Chinese settlements.However,as Henan island is close to Guangzhou City,it is inevitably affected by urbanization since modern times,and the morphological characteristics of waterfront settlements are constantly changing.In recent years,the construction of Haizhu National Wetland Park puts forward higher requirements for the protection and development of waterfront settlements and surrounding environment.This paper starts from macroscopical,middle and microcosmic level of morphological characteristics.Through the interdisciplinary research method,the morphological characteristics of the waterfront settlement are connected with the natural environment,social environment,cultural environment and other factors.From Song Dynasty to Qing Dynasty,this paper sums up the morphological characteristics of the traditional waterfront settlements.On this basis,study the function mechanism between the natural and human environment of the waterfront settlements,and clarify the value of the waterfront settlements.Combined with the problems accumulated in the development of modern times,this paper puts forward some suggestions for the protection and development of these traditional waterfront settlements.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part is the first chapter.Based on the theoretical review of architecture domain,Humanities and social sciences domain,this paper summarizes the research methods of the morphological characteristics of the waterfront settlements,and selects Henan Island of Haizhu District in Guangzhou City as the research object.The second part is the second,the third and the fourth chapters,which summarize the morphological characteristics of the settlement from macroscopical,middle and microcosmic level.At the macro level,the morphological characteristics of settlement groups are summarized in terms of settlement location,scale and transportation mode in combination with regional natural environment.At the meso level,the morphological characteristics of settlements are summarized in terms of land use structure,landscape structure,settlement form type,texture of street and agricultural landscape texture.At the micro level,the internal structures of settlement are divided into residential buildings,ancestral buildings,temple buildings,academy buildings and other public facilities.This paper sums up the plane,structure and facade decoration features of these building.The third part is the fifth chapter.Firstly,combining with the conditions of natural geography,social organization,folk culture and belief,the paper studies and judges the formation mechanism of the spatial form characteristics of the settlements,and summarizes the special values of the settlements in ecology,economy,society and human culture.Finally,combined with the changes of waterfront settlements in the development of modernization,this paper summarizes the difficulties,development opportunities and protection suggestions of traditional settlement space in the current stage,and provides reference for the protection and development of waterfront settlements in Henan Island.
