Modeling And Simulation Analysis Of Sorting System Of Nanjing Post Air Express Logistics Distribution Center

In recent years,China’s economy has achieved sustained and healthy development,and the rapid popularity of e-commerce and online shopping has brought a considerable increase to the express delivery industry.As an important node in the express delivery industry,the air express distribution center plays a vital role in the connection process of express transportation.The sorting efficiency of the distribution center sorting system plays a leading role in the entire express distribution business.The research and analysis of the existing problems of the sorting system of Nanjing Post’s air express logistics distribution center are of profound practical value for improving the speed and quality of the service of the distribution center and meeting the needs of the development and growth of air express.Firstly,based on the investigate and analysis of the current status and overall business process of Nanjing Post Air Express Logistics Distribution Center,the system sorts out the composition of the distribution center sorting system and the sorting process.Then,the Petri net modeling method was used to model the sorting system operation process,and the correlation matrix method was used to analyze the characteristics of the Petri net model to verify the validity of the model.According to the logical relationship between the resources in the Petri net model,use Flexsim simulation software to simulate,find out the existing problems and deficiencies of the distribution center sorting system,and put forward improvement suggestions and optimization schemes for the problems that arise,and verify the optimization.As a result,the purpose of improving the sorting efficiency of the distribution center and shortening the processing time of the express mail has been achieved.This article is based on the sorting process of ordinary items in the sorting system of Nanjing Post Air Express Logistics Distribution Center.This research contents and methods have practical reference value for most express delivery companies.
