Electromagnetic launch technology,as a revolutionary new launch technology in speed,range,lethality,response ability and many other aspects,is the development direction of the new generation of launch application technology.In the electromagnetic launch technology,the armature muzzle velocity control is an important link to achieve the accurate target.Based on the established simulation model of electromagnetic launch system,this paper studies the relationship between the trigger time of controlled pulse forming network unit(PFU)and the armature muzzle velocity.On this basis,a closed-loop control method of armature muzzle velocity is proposed based on the discharge timing of PFU module.A closed-loop controller is developed for the control method.Finally,the armature muzzle velocity closed-loop control test verified the rationality of the proposed control method.The main research contents of the paper are as follows:First of all,the importance and research significance of armature muzzle velocity control in electromagnetic launch technology are described,the development history of electromagnetic launch technology and the current development status at home and abroad are introduced,and the current research status of armature muzzle velocity control in electromagnetic launch technology is introduced.The circuit model of the pulse forming network in the electromagnetic launch system is established,and the dynamic model of the armature movement process is established.On this basis,the simulation model of the electromagnetic launch system is established.Secondly,based on the established simulation model,the relationship between the additional compensation section and the armature muzzle velocity,the trigger time of the controlled PFU module and the armature muzzle velocity is analyzed,and then the mathematical model between the speed variation and the trigger time of the controlled PFU module is established.On this basis,the armature muzzle velocity control method based on the discharge timeing of the PFU module is proposed.Thirdly,based on the mathematical model between the speed variation and the trigger time of the controlled PFU module,a closed-loop controller of armature muzlle velocity is developed.The filtering processing and square wave conversion of the original probe signal are realized by the low-pass filter circuit and the high-speed comparator circuit.There are four basic requirements for the software implementation of the control program: to determine the zero time,to ensure the sequence of the time when the falling edge time of square wave signal is read,to ensure that the actual trigger time of the controlled PFU module is after the armature passes through the velocity measurement probe,to determine the reasonable range of the trigger time of the controlled PFU module.Finally,based on the proposed control method,the open-loop control test and closed-loop control test of armature muzzle velocity are carried out.Through the comparative analysis of the test data,the results show that the proposed control method of armature muzzle velocity based on PFU module discharge timing can improve the accuracy of armature muzzle velocity.When the average value of armature muzzle velocity is 944.4m/s.The relative average deviation of the armature muzzle velocity is 0.55%.
