Study On Modern Architectural Decorative Patterns In Suzhou Wuxi And Changzhou Area

Under the catalysis of root-seeking consciousness,the academic circles began to pay attention to the research of regional architectural art,looking for local architectural art characteristics so as to enhance regional uniqueness.As cultural and regional symbol,architectural decorative patterns play an indispensable role in being invested with a regional memory and showing the times features.The modern times of China starts in 1840,the collision between eastern and western cultures was fierce.The architectural decorative patterns in Suzhou,Wuxi and Changzhou changed obviously in the aspects of pattern form,pattern characteristics,decorative methods and decorative ideas.Through literature review,Chinese scholars have done a lot of theoretical and empirical research on architectural decorative art in this area,and have achieved rich results.However,the lack of pattern research perspective in the existing research is not conducive to the richness of regional memory and the excavation of regional culture.In this paper,modern architecture in Suzhou,Wuxi and Changzhou area is taken as the research carrier to carry out field research.Based on the discipline of design,from the perspective of pattern research,using the research methods of semiotics,visual psychology,architectural typology and architectural phenomenology,this paper studies the modern architectural decorative patterns in Suzhou,Wuxi and Changzhou.Starting from the "form study"(synchronic study)and "change study"(diachronic study)of modern architectural decorative patterns in Suzhou,Wuxi and Changzhou,this paper focuses on the analysis of the pattern types and schema changes of patterns.Firstly,it summarizes three basic pattern types,three pattern changing forms and four pattern changing ways;Secondly,it analyzes the change of pattern characteristics,decoration rate and the change of "level cooperation" mode in patterns,so as to improve people's phased cognition of pattern;Thirdly,it analyzes the perspective of material development,cultural complementarity and consciousness liberation,so as to find the reason of pattern change.From the perspective of pattern research,combined with architectural form,architectural style,architectural concept and other factors,this paper hopes to build a clear pattern recognition of modern architectural decoration in Suzhou,Wuxi and Changzhou,so as to make the past serve the present,continue historical memory and inherit regional culture.
