Research On The Living Status And Space-aging Design Of The Elderly In The Rural Areas Of West Beijing

With the aggravation of the aging population in our country and the intensification of rural empty nesting,the proportion of left-behind elderly people continues to increase.The current supporting facilities and support systems for the elderly in rural areas are far from meeting the elderly ’s elderly care needs..The article researches on the design of rural elderly people’s living conditions and suitable space for aging.It mainly takes the resident elderly and their living spaces in Zhangjiazhuang Village,Mentougou District,Beijing as the research object,using field surveys,questionnaire interviews and other methods from private to public and indoor Go outside to start research.The study is mainly divided into three parts: indoor private space,indoor public space,and courtyard space for the elderly,and each part of the space is developed in three levels:First,we explored the characteristics of sleeping,bathroom,living,dining,leisure and other behaviors of the elderly in Zhangjiazhuang Village under the influence of factors such as different health status,living status,family structure,and the sleeping space,bathroom space,Spatial characteristics of living space,dining and kitchen space,courtyard space in terms of space layout,indoor functional organization,installation form,etc.Secondly,on the basis of field research,combined with the life behavior characteristics of the elderly in Zhangjiazhuang Village and the spatial characteristics of the living space,starting from the requirements of safety,comfort and sustainability,the living space of the elderly in Zhangjiazhuang Village is summarized.The deficiencies in space layout,indoor facilities,environmental quality,etc.,are used as the problem-oriented research of the aging design of the elderly living space.Finally,according to the guiding principles of “safety,reliability,comfort,warmth,green economy,and sustainable development”,combined with the use needs of the elderly and mature elderly residential design principles and methods,we should pay attention to the space use needs of the elderly throughout the life cycle.Reasonable space layout,detailed design,environmental quality improvement,etc.,put forward design suggestions for the aging of rural elderly living space.
