With the reform of college entrance examination system and the introduction of a series of measures,"class-optional system" has gradually become the mainstream of high school education.After class,the change of teaching form and curriculum system has brought great pressure to the construction of teaching space,and the demand for public activity space is increasingly urgent.There is still a lack of standards and references for the space reconstruction of campus buildings and the design of new schools in order to adapt to the "class-walking" teaching organization.Therefore,in order to promote the building space construction of "class-walking" high school campus in China,the author takes the public space of the teaching area of urban ordinary high school as the research object to carry out relevant architectural planning research.Based on the development status of "class-walking system" in China,this study investigated many pilot high schools of "class-walking system" by consulting relevant materials,and sorted out the teaching management structure and teaching activity organization form,as well as the behavior pattern and space demand of teachers and students’ teaching activities under "class-walking system".Combined with the mature case analysis of foreign "class-walking" schools,this paper studies the role and status of public space in "class-walking" high school teaching areas,and explores the functional composition model and functional area indexes of "class-walking" high school public space.The paper also creatively USES space syntax analysis to analyze the layout of public space and the spatial attributes of each function in senior high school.Finally,combining with the reconstruction case analysis,the paper studies the principles of the reconstruction of school public space.Through the research,it is found that the current level of education development in China is still at the level of foreign countries in the 1950 s and 1960 s.At present,the type of "class-walking system" in China is complex and diverse,and there is no unified standard mode,which causes great pressure on the construction of teaching space.After class,the public space is an important functional space of the teaching area,which needs to be used flexibly as a supplement to the teaching space.This study finally sorted out three types of class walking mode--"small class walking mode","big class walking mode--selecting all three subjects to go class",and "full class walking mode--all subjects to go class",and summarized the connotation,advantages and disadvantages of each mode and its applicable conditions.This paper puts forward the overall structure of the campus,the functional composition of the teaching area and the area index of the existing teaching space of "various types",and points out that the teaching functional area with public space as the core is the ideal mode of the functional composition of the "class-walking" campus.Through the research,this paper summarizes the three development trends of the public space in the senior high school teaching area,namely,the expansion of public space,the compound function and the multilevel.On this basis,the research draws the conclusion that the proportion of public space in teaching areas should reach 35% to 40%,and puts forward the multifunctional composition mode of public space,the proportion of the area of each function and the multi-level public space space mode that adapt to the "class system".In terms of design methods,eight layouts of public space and their advantages and disadvantages are summarized.Through the analysis,the spatial attribute requirements of each function of public space are obtained to serve as a reference for architectural design.Finally,according to the development trend of public space,this paper puts forward the principle of adaptive transformation of public space in existing school teaching areas.It is hoped that this study can provide some theoretical basis and reference for the construction of new schools and the reconstruction of existing schools in the future.
