Multi core cable of all sizes and types are widely used in large-scale equipment,such as aircraft,ships and missiles.These cables are intricate.Due to collision,extrusionr and other harsh environments,the insulation is impaired and the dielectric strength decreases,increasing the probability of failure.Therefore,the test of the insulation performance of the cable is an important step to troubleshoot and ensure the reliability of the system.The traditional cable detection methods are mostly manual,which has low efficiency,slow speed,and is easy to cause human error due to time-consuming and labor-intensive.With the development of industrial automation,there is an increasing demand on the fast and efficient automatic detection technology.Aim at settling the insufficiencies of cable detection,we study on the measurement of the multi core cable.The aim of this work is to improve the measurement speed and reduce the work intensity.In view of the shortcomings of the current cable detection,a distributed multi core cable tester based on AT89C52 microcontroller is designed.The tester can measure the on resistance and insulation resistance of multi-core cable automatically according to the instruction of operator.The measurement results can be displayed and saved,which solves the disadvantages and shortcomings of traditional measurement methods,and improves the automation level of cable detection.In this paper,based on the detailed analysis of the advantages and disadvantages and the feasibility of the detection method,the detection scheme and system structure are designed.The design and realization of the main controller circuit,high voltage power supply module,relay matrix circuit,signal acquisition and processing circuit and human-computer interaction module are described in detail.At the same time,the whole system software framework and the design process of each subsystem are introduced in detail.Finally,the debugging process and test results are analyzed.
