In China,high-rise settlements are the main building of residential areas in large and medium-sized cities. In their landscape planning, green space rate is the only mandatory indicator. As a two-dimensional evaluation index, the green rate can only reflect the plane effect of the residential landscape, and can not judge the three-dimensional green structure and ecological benefits of the overall landscape. At the same time, some developed countries have gradually promoted the “green space factor” three-dimensional assessment method under the leadership of the government. This method is a mandatory assessment tool to enhance the ecological benefits of urban landscape greening, thereby restricting and guiding the green development of the city..However,the localization and modification of the green space factor in China is only at the prospect of the research field. Therefore,it is necessary to construct a local green space factor assessment tool for the construction of urban green infrastructure in China. This study takes the high-rise residential area of Harbin,a typical cold city in China,as the research object.Firstly, the Harbin high-rise residential area is divided into four categories. From these four categories, nine typical high-rise residential areas are selected for current status investigation and data collection, and the Harbin high-rise living is summarized. The status quo and problems of landscape landscaping in the district;secondly, based on the Seattle green factor assessment method, based on the actual situation of high-rise residential areas in Harbin, the expert questionnaires are used to screen, adjust, assign and verify the evaluation indicators, and establish five categories.A total of 25 evaluation indicators evaluation system;again, using the above-mentioned established Harbin high-rise residential green space factor tool to evaluate the ecological benefits of the selected nine typical high-rise residential cases;finally, based on the assessment results to explore the residential ecological benefits and landscape The relationship between elements, green rate and floor area ratio is proposed, and the reference value of green space factor in high-rise residential areas in Harbin is proposed.According to different planning control indicators, the optimization strategy of typical residential ecological benefits is proposed. The purpose of this study is to use the Seattle Green Factor Assessment Method to build a green space factor tool for high-rise residential areas in Harbin to enhance the ecological benefits of residential areas and guide the landscape greening construction. In the future planning of cold residential areas,it will provide planning ideas for urban planners and landscape architects, provide theoretical basis for the development of ecological assessment strategies for urban construction departments, and provide reference for the construction of green infrastructure in other cities in China.
