Amorphous alloy dry-type distribution transformer is energy-saving transformer,but because of its high manufacturing cost,it has not been widely used.In order to reduce the cost of transformer materials,the optimization design of Amorphous alloy dry-type transformer parameters was studied by using cycle traversal method,particle swarm optimization(PSO)and the improved particle swarm optimization(IPSO).The transformer design optimization(TDO)of this paper is a complex engineering calculation problem with multi variables,multi constraints,nonlinearity,continuous variables and discrete variables.To solve the TDO problem,the coexistence of discrete and continuous variables,and the constraints should be dealt with in a proper way so that the calculated solutions can satisfy all constraints.When PSO are used to solve the TDO problems,the success rate of PSO should also be considered.The main contents are as follows.(1)TDO problems were classified,and the development of amorphous alloy transformer at home,abroad.And the applications of intelligent algorithms in TDO problems were introduced.(2)The TDO problem of amorphous alloy dry-type transformer was studied by using cycle traversal method.Visual Basic 6.0 and Access Database were used to develop the program.The calculation model of cycle traversal method,calculation of electromagnetic parameters,features of Visual Basic 6.0,ADO technology and access database technology were introduced in detail.The amorphous alloy dry-type transformer SCLBH15-315/10 was taken as an example,the results of cyclic traversal method were compared with that of an artificial design.(3)PSO was used to study the TDO problem of amorphous alloy dry-type transformer.The model of TDO problem aim to reduce materials cost was generalized.The objective function of the TDO problem was also generalized.The solution model of TDO problem based on PSO was constructed,including the coding method of variables,the iterative equation of PSO and the treatment of constraints.Based on Visual Basic 6.0,the optimization design program was developed.Then the parameters' value and calculation performance of PSO was studied,and the optimal parameter value of PSO was determined.The amorphous alloy dry-type transformer SCLBH15-315/10 was taken as an example,and the results of PSO were compared with that of an artificial design.(4)The improvement of the transformer optimization model based on PSO was studied.The measures to improve the PSO include: adaptive particle cross search strategy,global optimalparticle cross search strategy,and adaptive method to control penalty coefficient.The measures and their codes based on Visual Basic 6.0 were given in detail.The parameter's value and calculation performance of IPSO were studied and the optimal parameter value was determined.The amorphous alloy dry-type transformer SCLBH15-315/10 was taken as an example,and the results of IPSO were compared with that of an artificial design.
