Study On The Space Of Huizhou Private Garden In Ming And Qing Dynasties

Huizhou gardens,in the narrow sense,refers to gardens built locally in Huizhou.According to the content,function and form,it can be divided into three types: Shuikou Garden,Private Garden and Temple Garden.Among them,private gardens belong to gardeners’ private house gardens.In the process of design and construction,they were influenced by the Jiangnan gardening genre,while maintaining the characteristics of Huizhou regional culture.It is an important branch type in the history of Chinese classical gardens.Due to historical reasons and other reasons,only a small amount of private gardens in Huizhou remain in the world today.There also lack systematic and in-depth research on private gardens in Huizhou.This article studies the spatial characteristics of private gardens in Huizhou through field surveys,surveys,and comprehensive literature analysis.At the same time,the Huizhou private gardens in the Ming and Qing Dynasties were compared with other Jiangnan gardens in the same period to explore the coordinate relationship between the Huizhou private gardens in this period and the surrounding sub-styles in different regions.Huizhou Merchants is one of the three major commercial gangs in China.Since the formation of the Eastern Jing Dynasty,the Song Dynasty began to be active,and its development reached its peak in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,occupying a position of manipulation in the commercial field.The characteristics of the private garden built by the Huizhou merchants in the hometown and how they are connected with other Jiangnan gardens in the same period are the starting points of this article.The second chapter introduces the emergence and development of Huizhou gardens,including the geographical and cultural background.Which not only contributed to the birth of Huizhou merchants but also affected the worldview and aesthetic pursuit of Huizhou people.This has formed the style of gardening.On this basis,Chapter 3 systematically introduces the spatial types and element characteristics of Huizhou private gardens,and focuses on the garden space from the perspective of concept,type,technique,artistic conception,etc.Chapter 4 conducts case recovery analysis through two private gardens in Huizhou,such as Zuoyin Garden and Green Garden.The above spatial analysis is demonstrated and compared with Suzhou gardens in the same period.The last chapter is a systematic summary of the full text,including the spatial characteristics,protection and development of Huizhou private gardens.This article is a systematic exploration and research on Huizhou private gardens.Huizhou gardens are an important branch of Chinese classical gardens and an important carrier of Huizhou regional culture.Through the exploration of the spatial characteristics of Huizhou private gardens,it provides theoretical support for future related research.
