With the continuous development of urbanization in China,a variety of traffic problems also increase in the city.The intersection is the intersection of various roads in the city,where motor vehicles coming from different directions meet,easily causing traffic disorder and accidents,which also makes the intersection become a frequent area of traffic accidents.Therefore,it is of great significance to control the order of intersections to improve the efficiency of urban road traffic and improve traffic management.Vehicle self-organizing network(VANET)is a new technology that USES vehicle network to improve traffic efficiency and reduce traffic accidents.This paper will also involve the study of traffic accidents of VANET at intersections.This paper firstly studies the related theories of urban intersection safety at home and abroad and analyzes the factors that affect the safety of urban intersection.Based on predecessors' study and put forward the collision probability of the intersection of the vehicle concept,based on the proposed scenario according to region,according to research the intersection may be the collision probability of collision between vehicles,respectively based on the comprehensive traffic arrival rate and the collision probability,and the relationship between the collision probability in order to further study of the intersection between motor vehicle collision problems,and put forward the mathematical description of vehicle collision probability formula at the intersection.Secondly,this paper studies the traffic flow characteristics and traffic simulation based on collision probability at the intersection of fanxi road and dongda street in Shijiazhuang city.Firstly,the paper introduces the traffic situation at the intersection of fanxi road and analyzes the characteristics of traffic flow in multiple directions and regions.The building up of road network in the SUMO simulation scenario,based on the research of the intersection of collision probability to improve Krauss following model,this paper proposes a forecasting deceleration with following model,referred to as PADM following model(Predicted Acceleration and Deceleration Following Model),the new model can reduce the vehicle speed acceleration value of jump phenomena occur,make the vehicle speed change more smoothly.Thirdly,the network simulator NS3 is used to complete the vehicle-to-infrastructure and vehicle-to-vehicle communication simulation based on the vehicle track file output by SUMO simulation.VANET traffic simulation based on Krauss and PADM at the intersection of fanxi road and dongda street was completed.By analyzing and comparing the performance parameters of the VANET simulation of the two following models,including information delivery rate,end-to-end average delay,throughput,etc,it is concluded that the information delivery rate and throughput performance of the PADM following model is better than that of Krauss following model in the range of simulation nodes.
