Research On Landscape Reconstruction Design Of The Village Of Xiushui In Fuchuan County Based On Yao Cultural Perception

It is incumbent on us to protect and develop ancient villages which reserve valuable legacy of the Chinese nation,the ancient villages of ethnic minorities particularly.The Yao people,as one of the most ancient ethnic minority groups in China,live in Guangxi province mostly.Since they are mostly distributed in economically underdeveloped areas,where people are not aware enough to protect cultural legacies,the protection of the ancient villages of Yao people has not been paid enough attention to.Impacted by the acceleration of urbanization,the features of Yao Village are gradually fading away.In this case,proper technological reformation design of Yao Village can help these ancient villages renew their unique features and is also conducive to the protection and development of Yao Village.The thesis studies the Xiushui Village from the perspective of cultural perception.First,it makes a literature review of the previous research on cultural perception and ancient villages,to lay a theoretical basis for the thesis.Then,it discusses the relationship between cultural perception and landscape design of ancient villages.It proposes that the cultural perception theory is of great instructive significance for the landscape design of ancient villages,and it also makes an interpretation of Yao culture.After this,the research,based on a status analysis of the Xiushui Village through field research and questionnaire survey,hasconcluded that Xiushui Village faces problems such as messy living conditions,empty village,destructed traditional landscape,unremarkable Yao cultural elements,thus making its culture less perceptible for people.Finally,based on the analysis,the thesis,from the perspective of cultural perception,proposes a strategy for landscape reformation and design of Xiushui Village from the macro,medium,and micro perspectives.At the macro level,work needs to be done to protect the original landscape and eco-space of Xiushui Village;at the medium level,a summary needs to be made of the strategies of continuing the traditional features of the villages;and at the micro level,a summary needs to be made of the methods of integrating cultural elements of Yao people into different spaces of the village,and reformation design of the Xiushui Village landscape has to be made based on the reformation strategy.Hopefully,the research results of the thesis can contribute to the protection work of ancient villages by providing valuable reference for protecting and developing other similar ancient villages of Yao people in Guangxi province.
