The construction of powerful cultural country can not leave from cultural soft power.As the ancestor of traditional operas,Nuo opera has a high artistic value in the development history of Chinese culture.This project takes the Nuo opera “Dong Dong Tui” of Dong minority as research object.“Dong Dong Tui”is the Nuo opera of Dong minority in Huaihua of Hunan,and integrates profound historical and cultural value and positive spiritual value,which was admitted into the first batch of national-level intangible cultural heritages in 2006.“Nuo” is a way for people to avoid difficulties.The desire of praying for a better life in Nuo drama still meets the spiritual needs of modern people.Firstly,SWOT analysis method is used to analyze the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of “Dong Dong Tui”,the research value of “Dong Dong Tui”being an intangible cultural heritage in today's society is explored,and the necessity,importance and feasibility of cultural creative product design and development for Nuo drama “Dong Dong Tui”is proved.Secondly,the characteristics of artistic elements of the Nuo drama “Dong Dong Tui” mainly include symbolic hearing and perception,strong smell experience,vivid touch experience and affiliative visual appearance while the characteristics of cultural elements include national character,mythological nature and storytelling nature.Based on literature review and field research,comparative analysis is conducted on the successful cases and failed cases of opera-based cultural creative product design,and the deficiencies and improvement space of cultural creative product design are explored under the current social background.Combined with the synaesthesia concept,it is concluded that the cultural creative product design of the Nuo drama “Dong Dong Tui” should persist in four principles suchas designing according to actual circumstances,cultural creativity,audience experience and emotion expression.It is needed to focus on refining and shaping the visual images of Nuo masks,Nuo props and Nuo characters,adopt the design methods of realistic painting,segmentation,overlay,comparison and virtual-real synthesis so as to realize development of cultural creative products satisfying the social demand of modern people,the homesickness of wanderers and the desire of praying.In specific design practice,audio-visual synaesthesia is achieved through visual performance of theme melody,visual-olfactory synaesthesia is achieved through visual interpretation of cultural smell,visual-tactile synaesthesia is achieved through visual interpretation of tactile temperature and visual-mental synaesthesia is achieved through visual interpretation of emotional core.This project proves the feasibility of combining the Nuo drama “Dong Dong Tui” with cultural creative product design through design practice,tries to take the cultural creative product design of the Nuo drama “Dong Dong Tui” as an example to explore the strategy for cultural creative product design and development of the traditional Nuo operation culture.
