With the national energy-saving requirements are increasingly strict,high-efficiency AMT vehicles become one of the important development direction.Because of the dry clutch equipped bu the AMT vehicles,it it difficult to control when starting or moving slowly.But it is a necessary request for the AMT vehicles to moving slowly well to achieve full-scale travel in a small space.In this paper,a heavy-duty off-road vehicle equipped with AMT is taken as the research object to verify the clutch control algorithm facing on low-speed condition.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1)Analysis of the motion characteristics of the vehicle during lowspeed condition,including the longitudinal dynamic analysis of the vehicle and the analysis during the clutch engagement process.Combined with possible working conditions and the characteristics of the clutch engagement process,a clutch control strategy has been proposed.2)The characteristics of the clutch has been studied,and the evaluation index of the clutch action has also been analyzed,which provides guidance for the clutch control.To determine whether the clutch performance meets the requirements of clutch control funciton,the clutch control and the torque transmission characteristics has been obtained by experiment.3)The vehicle control methods which should be taken in different states has been proposed,the clutch control algorithm based on the fuzzy-PID controller has been come up with,too.4)As the actual conditions cannot be predicted well and it is impossible to give a formula,some signals that can be representative of the actual conditions has been selected to test the clutch control algorithm.This paper presents a clutch control algorithm,and verify the algorithm in two ways,by model simulation and the vehicle test.The data shows that the clutch control algorithm can control the vehicle to travel at the expected speed.It is possible to provide the AMT vehicle with the clutch control function.
