Network communication technology has been widely used in the power industry,mainly to support the power system data transmission and communication functions.With the development of the power system business,the substation telecontrol device needs to control more externally added equipment.The defects of the traditional substation control system are becoming increasingly obvious.The serial interface does not have the ability to access the network,and if a single serial device is connected The cost of accessing the network is too high,and the number of serial ports on existing devices can no longer meet the requirements of remote engines for serial ports.Therefore,it is imperative to implement a serial port expansion plan for remote engines.User substations in some areas of China Southern Power Grid have not yet completed the channel network and plant and station automation transformation work.Most of the substation remote control devices have only a limited number of serial interfaces(RS232)or only a single serial interface(RS232),and cannot achieve dual channels(Or even single channel)mode to access two or more master systems(including background machines).Due to the limited number of serial ports of the substation remote control devices within the jurisdiction of the county government,some old equipment cannot be expanded,and traditional access to the plant station and the main standby system cannot be achieved simultaneously and online communication.However,if the remote control device is modified,it is not only costly but also difficult to modify.This paper studies the specific requirements of the substation automation transformation work and the way to connect the new main standby backup system.Aiming at the problem of the limited number of serial ports of the substation telecontrol device and the inability of some old equipment to expand,a serial port extension and Switching system to achieve communication between multiple dispatching master stations and substations,and to perform real-time monitoring and dispatching,to solve the problems of real-time communication between the plant station and the main,standby,and multi-channel full-path online switching,ensuring The transformation of the electric power dispatching automation system was carried out smoothly.The serial port expansion and switching system design includes hardware modules and software modules.The hardware modules mainly include the system core module,expansion module,RS-232 interface,etc.,and the high-performance Cortex-M3 series microcontroller LPC1768 is used as the core processor.This design uses the serial port expansion switching system and the terminal server MOXA NPort 5210 to operate togetherin the remote end channel of the station to realize that the network mode will be used without any modification to the remote control device and maintaining the original serial channel for normal communication.The purpose of the remote control device access to the local and standby adjustments is to ensure the coordinated management and control of the resource sharing between the functional modules of the system,the main station and the sub-stations,and the main station and the main station.
