Restricted by factors such as enterprise size and business qualification,most of China’s traditional power design companies mainly conduct survey,design and consulting as their main businesses.However,in the current power survey and design industry,with the diversification of customer needs and the continuous improvement of the marketization of the industry,in recent years,the new contract value and business revenue of the power engineering general contracting business have shown a continuous growth trend.Therefore,the idea of transforming into a general contractor has become an enterprise transformation goal for more and more large traditional power design institutes.Although the prospects are promising and the benefits are attractive,for most traditional power design institutes,the transition process is very difficult.In some power design institutes that have just been transformed,the general contracting projects have suffered a total of 10 losses,or their performance is far from the expected value.This paper combines DB Power Design Institute as an example object.First,by analyzing the situation of the entire power construction industry,it is proposed that the transformation of DB Power Design Institute to the general contractor’s business model is the general trend.At the same time,DB Power Design Institute needs to redefine and transform Shape the business process and management process of the enterprise;then analyze the application and implementation effect of process reengineering on the practice of engineering construction contracting of DB Power Design Institute.The results show that,on the one hand,it is conducive to improving the efficiency of enterprise management and promoting the realization of management goals,on the other hand,it is conducive to reducing the cost of enterprises,expanding the profit space of enterprises,and promoting the long-term development of enterprises with high efficiency.This paper is based on the process reengineering theory,by identifying keyprocesses,adding necessary processes,and transforming the old processes,so that DB Power Design Institute can completely get rid of the traditional single business model,re-establish more in line with the needs of the current era,and more suitable for the full Life-cycle business model to achieve business model transformation.
