Research On The Design Strategy Of Folding Architecture From The Perspective Of Chaos Theory

With the further development of the global economy,cultural diversity and integration promote the continuous infiltration and reference between the arts.The same is true in the field of architecture.The interdisciplinary of different ideas provides a lot of theoretical basis for the development of architecture,and brings the complex and diverse architectural design concept of Yu Fa.With the further development of social industrial production level,people's aesthetic of architecture has also changed.Influenced by various concepts such as philosophy and art,many contemporary architects began to break the established rules of design,and constantly explored various architectural forms,exploring the contemporary architectural system with dynamic and differentiated morphological vocabulary.The emergence of chaos is a good summary of this dynamic design concept thinking.The phenomenon of chaos originated from the thinking of French scientist Poincare on the natural phenomenon in 1960 s.After the research of Lorenz and York,the chaos theory formally put forward the chaos theory.The chaos theory thinks that the world exists in a kind of disordered order,showing a kind of dynamic fuzzy sense.In the aspect of architecture,it is used as a theoretical knowledge to study the external form of architecture.The ideas of flow,fractal and fuzziness advocated by chaos theory are also embodied in architecture.The ideas advocated by chaos theory inject vitality into the complex design of architecture.In the context of the development of contemporary complex architectural forms,many architects have begun to use the design strategies of lifting,bending,rotating,spiraling,stacking and so on in the middle and late 20 th century,which break the homogeneity and singleness of architecture to create different complex forms of architectural works.In the 1990 s,Greg Lynn classified this building type as "folding building".Based on the chaos theory,this paper discusses its influence on the development of folding architecture,summarizes some characteristics of folding architecture from the perspective of chaos which is different from the traditional architecture folding,and summarizes and analyzes a series of semi qualitative and semi quantitative design strategies of folding architecture under the influence of chaos theory by using SWOT analysis method,aiming at the contemporary complex architectural design It provides corresponding theoretical basis and practical operation experience.
