The research object of this paper is the regeneration process of inner city industrial space. The research perspective is based on the whole process of inner city industrial space regeneration.Up to 2019,China's industrial space regeneration practice has been carried out for about 30 years.Success and failure coexist in the process of industrial space renewal in the past 30 years. In this paper,Shanghai and Ningxia are selected as the first cities in the Yangtze River Delta to enter the post-industrialization stage and the postindustrialization stage to study the status quo of their inner city industrial space after the completion of the initial renewal. They are not only concerned about the successful industrial space after the completion of the initial renewal, but also about the whole process of continuous adaptation and adjustment spontaneously or with the involvement of planning.Reasons for the rapid decline of industrial space after renewal and the underlying mechanism factors. The first part(Chapters 1 and 2)reviews the research contents of urban renewal theory and practice at home and abroad, analyses and summarizes the research results of material space level, renewal mechanism level and policy evolution of industrial space, grasps the ideas and methods of industrial space renewal process research, and excavates the research deficiencies in existing research.Introducing the new Marxist theory of spatial production, and focusing on the process of capital circulation and the way of capital proliferation, and combining with the characteristics of industrial space in Shanghai and Ningxia, the paper puts forward a theoretical framework with capital circulation and capital proliferation as the breakthrough point to prepare for the following research. The second part(Chapter 3)summarizes the characteristics of regional differentiation in the practice of industrial space regeneration in Shanghai and Ningxia over the past 30 years through literature collation, investigation and interview. From a macro point of view, this paper recognizes the status quo of industrial space renewal in Shanghai and Ningxia, summarizes the spatial, economic and social attributes of the initial and post-renewal status quo of industrial space, and summarizes the spatial and temporal distribution of the status quo of the three renewals, and summarizes the characteristics of regional differentiation. At the same time,an example of industrial space regeneration is selected to study and evaluate the regeneration process.Firstly, the renewal stage of the case is clarified. From the perspective of spatial reproduction, this paper analyses the dynamic mechanism of industrial spatial reproduction in Inner cities, and evaluates the reproduction process from the aspects of urban development, regional society, location use and facilities operation. The effects of spatial reproduction are analyzed from multiple perspectives, including the change of urban function system, cultural value and the economic and social impact of reproduction activities. The third part(Chapter 4)puts forward the orientation of industrial space regeneration, analyses the factors and mechanisms that influence the effect of regeneration in different stages of regeneration according to examples, analyses the causes of the current problems of regeneration, deeply explores the driving mechanism behind its success and decline, studies the development direction of industrial space regeneration in the future, and adjusts the orientation for the regeneration of industrial space.Provide research ideas and methods for reference. The fourth part(Chapter 5)carries on the conclusion and the discussion, summarizes the research content, discusses the existing research deficiencies and the possible further development direction.
